Preparation
- Start by washing and chopping the cabbage into thin strips. Dice the onion and mince the garlic for maximum flavor.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it’s bubbly and fragrant.
- Add the sausage to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned and cooked through, approximately 7-10 minutes.
- Incorporate the diced onion and minced garlic into the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Slowly stir in the chopped cabbage, mixing well with the sausage and onion mixture. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cabbage is tender and caramelized.
- Sprinkle salt, pepper, and any additional spices you’d like. Stir once more, taste, and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately. Enjoy the deliciousness while it’s hot!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a pan or microwave.
