Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy—about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and matcha powder until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just incorporated. Avoid overmixing!
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Baking
- Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
