  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation
  1. Gather your ingredients: Start by measuring out each spice listed above.
  2. Mix together: In a bowl, add all the measured spices.
  3. Blend well: Use a whisk or a fork to combine the spices thoroughly until they’re well mixed and all clumps are broken up.
  4. Taste test (optional): If you want to adjust the heat, feel free to add more cayenne pepper to your preferred spice level.
  5. Store: Transfer the spice blend into an airtight container, preferably a glass jar, to keep it fresh for longer.

Notes

This jerk spice blend is best stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark location, like a pantry or spice cabinet. It will stay fresh for about six months. You can personalize your spice blend by adding a touch of brown sugar or a squeeze of citrus zest for extra flavor.
