Ingredients

Doughnut Components
  • 6-8 pieces Croissants Use store-bought for convenience.
  • 1 cup Jam of your choice Strawberry, raspberry, or apricot work wonderfully!
  • 1 cup Custard Store-bought or homemade vanilla custard can be used.
  • ½ cup Powdered sugar For dusting.
  • 1 cup Butter Melted and cooled, for frying.

Method

Preparation
  1. Cut each croissant in half horizontally, leaving one side attached, creating a pocket for the fillings.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat to coat the pan.
Filling and Cooking
  1. Generously fill the inside of each croissant pocket with custard and jam.
  2. Carefully place each filled croissant into the hot butter, frying on each side for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove the fried doughnuts and place them on paper towels to absorb any excess butter.
  4. Dust the doughnuts with powdered sugar once slightly cooled.
  5. Enjoy immediately while they’re warm for the best experience!

Notes

For gluten-free options, use gluten-free croissants. Fry in small batches to avoid overcrowding. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days or freeze for up to one month. Reheat in a warm oven at 350°F for about 5-10 minutes.
