Ingredients
  

For the filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and diced
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled Halal chicken bacon (optional) Can substitute with crumbled cooked chicken or omit for vegetarian option
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For the cups
  • 24 wonton wrappers

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray or brush it with oil.
  3. Take the wonton wrappers and gently press them into the muffin cups, draping them over the sides to create little cups.
  4. In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, crumbled Halal chicken bacon (if using), green onions, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  5. Spoon the cheesy filling into the wonton cups, filling them generously but not overflowing.
Baking
  1. Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the wonton wrappers are golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the muffin tin.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For prolonged storage, freeze them before baking and bake from frozen at 350°F (175°C) for an extra 5-10 minutes.
