Ingredients
  

Wonton Cups Base
  • 15 pieces wonton wrappers
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil for greasing muffin tin
Filling
  • 2-3 pieces jalapenos, finely chopped adjust based on your heat preference
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 pieces green onions, sliced
  • ½ cup halal-friendly cooked chicken bacon bits optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease each muffin cup of your tin with cooking oil.
  2. Press a wonton wrapper gently into each muffin cup to form a little cup.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, finely chopped jalapeños, and sliced green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If using, mix in chicken bacon bits.
Baking
  1. Spoon the filling into each wonton cup, careful not to overfill.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges of the wonton cups are golden brown.
  3. Let cool for a minute before serving.

Notes

Consider substituting the cheese with pepper jack for extra flavor. Store leftover cups in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze them for up to 1 month. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
