Ingredients

Pretzel Bomb Ingredients
  • 1 package refrigerated pretzel dough
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 jalapenos, seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken, chopped substituting for bacon to ensure halal compliance
  • 1 large egg, beaten for egg wash
  • Coarse sea salt, for topping

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped jalapenos, and cooked chicken. Mix until well combined.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll or stretch each piece of pretzel dough into a small circle, about 3-4 inches in diameter.
  4. Place a generous tablespoon of the cheese mixture in the center of each dough circle.
  5. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling, pinching to seal completely.
  6. Place the filled pretzel bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each bomb with the beaten egg and sprinkle coarse sea salt over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Let them cool for a minute before serving. Serve with ranch dressing, cheese sauce, or ketchup.

Notes

Consider adding your favorite herbs or extra cheese to personalize toppings. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days in the fridge or freeze for up to two months.
