Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Add-in Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped jalapeños fresh or pickled
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and then add the milk. Mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the cheese, jalapeños, and green onions. Mix until everything is evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, sour cream, or guacamole!

Notes

To adjust the heat, consider removing the seeds from the jalapeños or using less than the suggested amount. Make sure to let them cool slightly for better cutting.
