Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while you gather your ingredients.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and granulated sugar. Beat until creamy.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture while alternating with the milk. Make sure everything is mixed nicely!
  5. Line a cupcake pan with paper liners and fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with the batter.
Baking
  1. Place the cupcake pan in the oven and bake for about 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Check for doneness by sticking a toothpick in the center and ensuring it comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely.
Decorating
  1. Once the cupcakes are cool, frost them with orange frosting to resemble pumpkins.
  2. Use the green frosting to create stems and add your candy decorations!
