Ingredients
  

Pasta and Veggies
  • 8 ounces bow tie pasta Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved Fresh and ripe for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella balls, halved Use fresh mozzarella for creaminess.
  • 1/4 cup black olives, sliced Add more for stronger flavor if desired.
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced Adjust amount based on preference.
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped Adds a fresh, aromatic flavor.
Dressing
  • 1/4 cup olive oil Extra virgin recommended for richer flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar Adjust to taste.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season as desired.

Method
 

Cooking Pasta
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the bow tie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes.
Preparing Veggies
  1. While the pasta is cooking, wash and chop the cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, black olives, red onion, and fresh basil.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Once the pasta is cooked, drain and rinse it under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the pasta, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, black olives, red onion, and basil.
Making Dressing
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Pour dressing over the pasta salad and toss gently until everything is well-coated.
  2. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Avoid overcooking the pasta for the best texture.
