Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the eggs, one at a time, along with vanilla extract. Beat until well blended.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until uniform.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  6. Gently fold the chocolate chips into the dough.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop mounds of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Enjoy warm!

Notes

For best results, ensure butter is at room temperature, don’t overmix, and chill the dough optionally for 30 minutes to enhance flavors. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
