  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, such as almond or oat milk)
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder Invest in high-quality matcha for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (to taste) Adjust sweetness levels according to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Blend the fresh strawberries in a blender until smooth. Add honey or maple syrup if desired.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the matcha powder and hot water until smooth and lump-free.
Combining
  1. In a glass, layer the strawberry puree at the bottom. Add ice cubes on top, followed by the milk.
  2. Gently pour the matcha mixture over the iced milk and strawberry layers.
  3. Top with whipped cream or coconut cream and additional strawberry slices if desired.
Serving

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but if leftovers occur, refrigerate components separately for up to 2 days. Chill your glass for an extra frosty drink.
