Ingredients

Tea and Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups butterfly pea flower tea (brewed and cooled)
  • 1 cup milk or plant-based milk (such as almond, coconut, or oat milk) Use your preferred type of milk.
  • as needed cubes Ice cubes More ice will make the latte colder.
  • to taste Sweetener (optional) (honey, agave, or sugar) Adjust based on preference.
  • to taste Lemon or lime juice (optional) For an extra zing.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by boiling water and steeping the butterfly pea flower in it for about 5-7 minutes. The tea will turn a lovely blue color.
  2. Remove the tea from heat and let it cool. You can also refrigerate it to speed up the cooling process.
  3. In a tall glass, add ice cubes. The more ice, the colder your latte will be!
  4. Pour the cooled butterfly pea tea over the ice, filling your glass about halfway. Then, add the milk (or plant-based milk) to fill the rest of the glass.
  5. If desired, stir in your choice of sweetener and a splash of lemon or lime juice for that refreshing twist.
  6. Give your drink a gentle stir to combine everything and enjoy your vibrant, refreshing latte!

Notes

Experiment with different sweeteners and adjust the amount of lemon or lime juice based on your taste. Prepare tea in advance for quick assembly during gatherings. Store leftover tea base (without milk) in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
