Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup brewed matcha tea (cooled) Use matcha powder and whisk with hot water first.
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy) Can substitute with almond or oat milk.
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar Can be replaced with coconut sugar for a caramel-like flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes Fill glass to the brim.
  • Whipped cream Optional topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by brewing your matcha tea. If you're using matcha powder, whisk it in a bowl with a small amount of hot water until smooth. Then, dilute it with cold water to reach a cup of brewed matcha.
  2. In a separate container, combine the cooled matcha tea, milk, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir or shake well to ensure the brown sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes to the brim.
  4. Pour the creamy matcha mixture over the ice. Top with whipped cream if desired.
  5. Grab a straw, stir gently, and enjoy the delightful flavor fusion.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 24 hours. Shake well before enjoying. Avoid freezing as it may affect texture.
