Hot Italian Sub Sliders

Hot Italian Sub Sliders are the perfect party appetizer or quick and satisfying meal. Packed with layers of savory meats, melty cheese, and tangy peppers, all tucked into soft slider buns brushed with a flavorful buttery glaze, these sliders are bursting with flavor in every bite.

Equipment

  • - Baking dish or sheet pan
  • - Sharp knife

  • - Small mixing bowl
  • - Pastry brush
  • - Aluminum foil

Ingredients
  

  • #### For the Sliders:
  • - 12 slider buns Hawaiian rolls or soft dinner rolls
  • - 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • - 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • - 8 slices salami
  • - 8 slices pepperoni
  • - 8 slices ham or turkey
  • - 6 slices provolone cheese
  • - 1/2 cup banana peppers or sliced pepperoncini optional
  • - 1/4 cup shredded lettuce optional, for serving
  • #### For the Glaze:
  • - 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • - 1 tsp garlic powder
  • - 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • - 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • - 1 tsp red pepper flakes optional, for a spicy kick

Instructions
 

  • #### Step 1: Preheat the Oven
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • #### Step 2: Assemble the Sliders
  • Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact.
  • Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard evenly over the bottom halves of the buns.
  • Layer salami, pepperoni, ham, and provolone cheese on top.
  • Add banana peppers or pepperoncini, if using, for a tangy kick.
  • Place the top halves of the buns back on to form sandwiches.
  • #### Step 3: Prepare the Glaze
  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes (if desired).
  • #### Step 4: Brush and Bake
  • Place the assembled sliders in a baking dish or on a sheet pan.
  • Brush the buttery glaze generously over the tops of the buns.
  • Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  • #### Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
  • Serve hot, optionally with shredded lettuce on the side for a fresh crunch.
