Method
Preparation of Cream Cheese Layer
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold in 1 tub of whipped topping until well incorporated.
Mixing the Puddings
- In another bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and chocolate milk until it thickens.
- Repeat with vanilla pudding mix, using another cup of chocolate milk for a smooth consistency.
Constructing the Layers
- In a 9x13 inch dish, spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly across the bottom.
- Add the chocolate pudding layer and top with the remaining cream cheese mixture.
- Add the vanilla pudding mixture on top, smoothing out evenly.
Finishing the Dessert
- Spread the remaining whipped topping over all the layers.
- Sprinkle mini marshmallows and chocolate shavings or cocoa powder over the top for garnish.
Chilling
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, for the flavors to meld.
