Preparation
- Prepare the cookie base: Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs using a blender or by hand. Combine those crumbs with melted butter until well mixed. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Make the cream cheese layer: In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Mix in the powdered sugar until fully combined. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well blended. Spread this layer on top of the cookie base.
- Hot chocolate layer: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the hot chocolate mix and milk until fully dissolved. Pour this mixture over the cream cheese layer, spreading evenly.
- Final layer: Add whipped cream on top to create a fluffy finish. Decorate with mini marshmallows for that extra touch of sweetness.
- Chill and serve: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set. Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
This dessert pairs wonderfully with a hot cup of cocoa or coffee. Experiment with different flavor cookies for the crust. Adjust the hot chocolate mix to your sweetness preference.
