Method
Preparation
- Start by cutting the chicken breast into slider-sized pieces, about 3-4 ounces each.
- In a bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, chopped chipotle peppers (use the sauce too for extra flavor), salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Toss the chicken pieces in the honey mixture, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Allow them to marinate for at least 15 minutes for maximum flavor.
Cooking
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken pieces. Cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and caramelized. Make sure the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Assembly
- While the chicken is working its magic, slice the slider buns in half. Add a piece of cooked chicken to one half, then layer on lettuce and tomato, and close it with the other half.
- Serve your sliders warm with a drizzle of any leftover honey marinade for added flavor!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. For freezing, wrap tightly and store for up to three months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or microwave until heated through. Avoid over-marinating chicken to maintain texture.
