Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add in the honey, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- Incorporate the orange zest and fresh orange juice into the wet mixture, stirring gently to combine.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
