Preparation
- Start by gathering and neatly chopping all your ingredients. Mince the garlic, slice the halal sausage, and wash the broccoli florets.
Making the Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. This sauce is the magic element that ties the dish together!
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the sliced sausage. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until lightly browned.
- Toss in the broccoli florets and continue cooking for another 3 minutes until the broccoli turns bright green and slightly tender.
- Push the sausage and broccoli to the side of the pan. Add the shrimp to the skillet, pouring the honey garlic sauce over everything. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, stirring until the shrimp turns pink and is fully cooked.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with optional sesame seeds or chopped green onions. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
If you find yourself with leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the dish for up to a month. When reheating, a quick microwave or a few minutes on the stovetop should do the trick to maintain flavor and texture.
