  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Opt for large or jumbo shrimp for better texture.
  • 1/4 cup honey Can adjust for sweetness preference.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic preferred for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Use reduced sodium if preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the shrimp.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. If not already done, peel and devein your shrimp. Rinse them under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce to create the glaze.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they begin to turn pink.
  3. Flip the shrimp and pour in the honey garlic sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are cooked through and the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Feel free to toss in some veggies or serve over rice for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat on the stovetop.
