Ingredients
  

For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste salt and pepper For seasoning
For the Skewers
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional) For topping; optional
  • skewers metal or soaked wooden skewers Soak wooden skewers for at least 30 minutes

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Add the chicken chunks to the marinade, making sure each piece is well coated. Cover and let it sit for at least 15 to 30 minutes (or longer in the fridge for deeper flavor!).
  3. Once marinated, thread the chicken pieces onto the skewers.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
Cooking
  1. Place the skewers on the grill, cooking each side for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and nicely charred.
  2. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top during the last minute of grilling, allowing them to toast lightly.
  3. Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot.

Notes

Leftover Honey Garlic Chicken Skewers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. They can also be frozen and consumed within 2 months for optimal taste. Reheat in an oven at 375°F for 10-15 minutes.
