Ingredients
  

For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup honey Select pure honey for the best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice Juice from about 2-3 limes.
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro Use fresh cilantro for the best taste.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds aromatic flavor.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
For the Salmon
  • 4 pieces 6-ounce salmon fillets Wild-caught salmon is recommended for best flavor.
  • as needed Lime wedges For garnishing before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, fresh lime juice, minced garlic, and chopped cilantro. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the fillets are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours for a stronger flavor).
Cooking
  1. Heat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the marinated salmon fillets on the grill, skin side down. Grill for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Brush with more marinade during grilling for added flavor.
  3. Remove the salmon from the grill and garnish with additional cilantro and lime wedges.

Notes

Best served fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently. Avoid over-marinating the salmon.
