Ingredients
  

Marinade
  • 450 g steak strips Use high-quality cuts like sirloin or flank.
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce Adds umami flavor to the marinade.
  • 2 tbsp honey Adjust for sweetness preference.
  • 2 tbsp chilli sauce For added heat, consider fresh chilies.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Enhances the overall flavor.
Vegetables
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced Feel free to customize with other vegetables.
  • 1 onion, sliced Adds sweetness and crunch.
Cooking
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil For frying the beef and vegetables.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust seasoning as needed.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine the steak strips with light soy sauce, honey, chilli sauce, and minced garlic in a bowl. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the marinated beef into the hot pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the beef is nicely browned and cooked through.
  3. Add the sliced bell pepper and onion, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until they are tender yet crunchy.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir everything together so the sauce coats the beef and vegetables.
  5. Remove from heat and serve hot on a bed of rice or with noodles. Garnish with additional chili flakes if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm in the microwave or on a skillet over medium heat. Can be frozen for up to 3 months if cooled completely before freezing.
