Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, BBQ sauce, honey, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
- Wet your hands slightly and form the beef mixture into patties about 1/2 inch thick.
Cooking
- Preheat your outdoor grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until desired doneness. If adding cheese, place it on in the last minute of cooking.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill for about a minute.
Assembly
- Place the grilled patties onto the buns and add your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and a drizzle of BBQ sauce.
