  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 4 pieces burger buns Consider toasting them on the grill.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, BBQ sauce, honey, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
  2. Wet your hands slightly and form the beef mixture into patties about 1/2 inch thick.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your outdoor grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the patties on the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until desired doneness. If adding cheese, place it on in the last minute of cooking.
  3. Toast the burger buns on the grill for about a minute.
Assembly
  1. Place the grilled patties onto the buns and add your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and a drizzle of BBQ sauce.
