Preparation
- Wash the watermelon thoroughly.
- Cut both ends of the watermelon to create a flat surface for stability.
Layering the Cake
- Cut the watermelon into three equal horizontal slices, about an inch thick.
- Place the bottom slice on a serving platter and spread one-third of the whipped cream on top.
- Sprinkle one-third of the chosen berries on top of the whipped cream.
- Place the second slice of watermelon on top and repeat the layering process with whipped cream and berries.
- Finish with the third slice on top, spread the remaining whipped cream, and decorate with the remaining berries and mint leaves.
- Slice like a cake and serve immediately.
Notes
Make the cake right before serving for the best taste. If prepared ahead of time, refrigerate to maintain freshness. Avoid freezing as it may make the watermelon mushy.
