Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Use high-quality for the best flavor.
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by lining an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
Cooking
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, milk, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a rolling boil.
  2. Allow the mixture to boil for about 4-5 minutes without stirring. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
  3. After boiling, remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually whisk in the powdered sugar until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  5. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for about 1-2 hours until set.
  7. Once cooled, lift the fudge out of the dish using the parchment paper and cut it into squares.

Notes

Store your fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. For longer storage, keep it in the refrigerator for about a month. When reheating, allow it to come to room temperature to enjoy its creamy consistency again.
