Preparation
- Boil the water in a medium pot over high heat.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Let steep for 5 to 7 minutes.
- While the tea is steeping, slice the ripe peaches.
- Remove the tea bags after steeping, then add the sliced peaches and sugar to the pot. Stir gently until sugar dissolves.
- Let the mixture cool for 15 to 20 minutes at room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
- Serve over ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
Store leftover tea in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat gently over low heat, avoiding boiling, or serve cold over ice.
