Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, lemon juice, and ground cinnamon. Stir well and set aside.
Make the Batter
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually stir in milk until smooth, then fold in melted butter.
Assemble
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and spoon the peach mixture over the top evenly.
Bake
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Serve
