  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, chili powder, ground cumin, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, oregano, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  2. Use a whisk to blend the mixture until it's smooth and well-integrated.
  3. Take your desired chicken parts (breasts, thighs, or drumsticks) and place them in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
  4. Pour the marinade over the chicken and ensure all pieces are evenly coated. Massage the marinade into the meat.
  5. Seal the bag or cover the dish and place it in the refrigerator.
  6. Ideally, let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours for maximum flavor.
Cooking
  1. Once marinated, grill, bake, or sauté the chicken according to your preference.

Notes

Store leftover marinated chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Best reheated in an oven at 350°F (175°C). Freeze the marinated chicken before cooking; thaw overnight in the refrigerator before cooking.
