Ingredients
  

Lavender Syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender
Lemonade Base
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice For serving
  • Lemon slices For garnish
  • Lavender sprigs For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Once the syrup has reached a boil, remove it from heat and add the dried lavender. Allow it to steep for about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Using a fine mesh sieve, strain the lavender syrup into a bowl or pitcher, discarding the lavender buds.
Mixing
  1. In a larger pitcher, mix the freshly squeezed lemon juice with the lavender syrup. Add 4 cups of cold water and stir well.
Serving
  1. Fill glasses with ice, pour the lavender lemonade over, and garnish with lemon slices and a sprig of lavender. Enjoy!

Notes

You can keep your Homemade Lavender Lemonade in the refrigerator for up to 5 days in an airtight container. For a fun twist, freeze leftovers in ice cube trays to add to future beverages.
