- In a food processor, combine the drained and rinsed chickpeas with tahini. Blend until smooth.
- Add in minced garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil. Blend until everything is well combined and smooth.
- If the hummus is a bit too thick, slowly add water, a tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired creaminess.
- Taste the hummus and add salt as needed.
Serving
- Transfer hummus to a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with paprika or cumin, and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes
For ultra-smooth hummus, remove the skins from the chickpeas before blending. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
