  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, blending until no dry flour remains.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and dried cherries.
  7. Use a tablespoon or cookie scoop to drop dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are light golden brown.
  2. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
