  • 1 pound flank steak Can substitute with skirt steak or chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 Juice of 1 lime

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the flank steak dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, combine the chipotle powder, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Mix until you have a consistent paste.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the flank steak and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Sear the steak for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  2. Let the steak rest for about 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
  3. Slice the steak against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

You can mix and match toppings like crispy onions, guacamole, or salsa. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
