Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure butter is at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey Maple syrup can be used as a substitute.
  • 2 large eggs
Dry Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour Spoon into the measuring cup for accuracy.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • to taste Sea salt for sprinkling

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat them until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Mix in the honey and the eggs, beating until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Baking
  1. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop generous portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each cookie.
  2. Before baking, sprinkle a little sea salt on top of each dough ball.
  3. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  4. Once baked, let the cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. Freeze for up to three months, and reheat in the microwave for about 10 seconds to restore freshness.
