Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted Ensure cherries are ripe and juicy for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust according to taste.
  • 4 cups water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and cherries for garnish Add before serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the cherries thoroughly. Remove the pits using a cherry pitter or a sharp knife, taking care not to mash the fruit.
  2. In a blender, combine the pitted cherries with about 1/2 cup of water. Blend until smooth to create a luscious cherry puree. Strain if you prefer a smoother lemonade.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Add the cherry puree to the lemon mixture and stir well. Then pour in the remaining water and mix until everything is combined.
  5. Fill glasses with ice, pour the cherry lemonade over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices and a whole cherry.

Notes

Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving for best results. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
