Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting the ripe cantaloupe into chunks and blend until smooth to get about 2 cups of pureed cantaloupe.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cantaloupe puree, heavy cream, and milk, then whisk until well mixed.
  3. Add the sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the bowl, mixing until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  4. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to enhance the flavors.
Churning
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn for about 20-30 minutes until thickened.
  2. Transfer the churned ice cream into a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
Serving
  1. Scoop the ice cream into bowls, add favorite toppings, and enjoy!
