- Wash the fresh strawberries thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a medium saucepan, combine one cup of granulated sugar and 1/4 cup of water. Stir to combine, then place over medium heat.
- Keep stirring until the sugar completely dissolves, forming a syrup. Be careful not to let it boil; just bring it to a light simmer.
- Once your syrup is ready, dip each strawberry into the hot sugar syrup, allowing any excess syrup to drip back into the pot.
- Place the dipped strawberries onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them set at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes until the candy coating hardens.
- Once the coating is hard, they are ready to be served and enjoyed!
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days. They can be refrigerated for up to a week, but avoid freezing.
