Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter - melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs - at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to over-mix.
  5. Transfer the batter into the greased baking dish, spreading evenly with a spatula.
Baking
  1. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  2. Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing into squares.
