Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 10-12 pieces pretzel rods Use sturdy pretzel rods for best results.
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Ensure the chocolate is smooth and fully melted for easy dipping.
  • 1 cup M&Ms or Skittles Used for broom bristles; feel free to customize with different colors.
  • optional sprinkles or edible glitter For added flair!

Method

Preparation
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave in 20-second increments, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
  2. Hold each pretzel rod by one end and dip the other end into the melted chocolate. Ensure it's well-coated, then gently shake off any excess chocolate.
  3. Before the chocolate hardens, take a small handful of M&Ms or Skittles and place them around the dipped end of the pretzel rod to create the broom bristles.
  4. Place the completed broomsticks onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or cooling rack to set. Repeat the process until all rods are coated and decorated.
  5. Allow the broomsticks to cool for about 15-20 minutes or until the chocolate has completely hardened.
  6. These enchanting treats are now ready to serve at your Halloween gathering!

Notes

Broomsticks are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for up to one week in an airtight container. Keep them in a cool place to prevent the chocolate from melting.
