Ingredients

For the marinade
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (make sure it's halal-friendly)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • to taste salt and pepper
Main ingredients
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (Zucchini, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms or your choice) chopped into similar-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil for cooking

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Wash and chop your mixed vegetables into similar-sized pieces for even cooking.
  2. In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with soy sauce, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 10-15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil and sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  3. Toss in your mixed vegetables and stir well. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the vegetables to soften but still retain some crunch.
Serving
  1. Serve your delicious Hibachi Chicken and Vegetables immediately, optionally garnishing with sesame seeds or additional soy sauce.

Notes

Feel free to substitute with halal-friendly proteins such as shrimp or tofu. Ensure all ingredients are prepped beforehand to avoid overcrowding the pan.
