Preparation
- Spray the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray or use a slow cooker liner for easy cleanup.
- Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, heavy cream, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- When the chicken is cooked through, shred it right in the slow cooker using two forks. Stir it around in the creamy sauce to combine.
Serving
- Top with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze portions in freezer-safe bags for up to 3 months. Reheat with a splash of chicken broth or cream for a creamy consistency.
