  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (to taste)

  1. Gather Ingredients: Ensure you have all ingredients ready to go—this makes blending so much easier!
  2. Blend the Milk and Banana: In a blender, add the milk with the ripe banana and blend on medium speed until smooth.
  3. Add Cocoa and Protein Powder: Add the unsweetened cocoa powder and chocolate protein powder (if using) to the mixture. Blend again until everything is well combined.
  4. Incorporate the Nut Butter: Spoon in the almond or peanut butter, along with the honey or maple syrup. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  5. Finish with Ice: Toss in a handful of ice cubes and blend until the shake is cold and has a delightful, thick consistency.
  6. Serve: Pour into a fun glass, add a colorful straw, and enjoy a shake that kids will love!

Notes

This shake is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours. For a frozen treat, freeze the shake in ice cube trays.
