Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, crumbled feta cheese, chopped parsley, green onion, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until everything is well incorporated but avoid over-mixing to keep the burgers tender.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape them into patties, ensuring they are about 1-inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.
Cooking
- Heat your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat, drizzling a tablespoon of olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Assembly
- Transfer cooked burgers to whole wheat buns and top with tzatziki sauce, slices of tomato, cucumber, and a handful of lettuce.
Serving
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides, and enjoy these gourmet burgers at home!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. You can also freeze uncooked patties wrapped individually for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge before cooking.
