Method
Cooking the Pasta
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water before draining.
Preparing the Chicken
- While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let cool, then slice it into strips.
Sautéing the Garlic
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Combining Everything
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with garlic. Start adding in the Parmesan cheese gradually, allowing it to melt into a creamy sauce.
- If it’s too thick, slowly add reserved pasta water until desired consistency.
Adding Chicken and Serving
- Toss in the chicken strips and mix well. Adjust salt and pepper to taste. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a Halal-friendly option, use halal chicken or turkey. Make sure to have all ingredients ready before starting to prevent burning garlic. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat with a splash of water to maintain creaminess.
