Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, combine the apple cider, eggs, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract. Beat until well mixed.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, and gently fold until just mixed.
- Lightly grease your donut pan with coconut oil and spoon the batter into each mold, filling about 3/4 of the way full.
Baking
- Place the pan in your preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the donuts from the pan, let them cool for a few minutes, and enjoy them warm.
Notes
Store donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for about a week. They can be frozen for about three months.
