Optional Toppings

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven according to the pizza dough’s instructions (usually around 425°F).
  2. Prepare your pizza dough by rolling it out on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle, about 12x10 inches.
  3. Spread the BBQ sauce evenly over one half of the dough.
  4. Layer the pineapple chunks, mozzarella cheese, chopped cilantro, and sliced red onion on top of the BBQ sauce.
  5. Cut slits into the other half of the dough, creating about 1-inch strips.
  6. Fold the strips over the filling, alternating sides to create a braided effect.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  2. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with fresh salad or garlic breadsticks. Consider pairing with a tropical fruit salad and sweet iced tea for a complete meal. You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze before baking for up to 3 months.
