Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef along with the chopped onion over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the beef mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- In a separate saucepan, combine the mashed potatoes with minced garlic, milk, and butter. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the garlic mashed potatoes over the beef mixture in the baking dish.
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the mashed potatoes.
Baking
- Bake the assembled pie in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until heated through and the top is slightly golden.
- Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with a fresh garden salad or roasted vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator, or frozen for longer storage. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
