  • 1 piece pre-made pizza dough (store-bought or homemade) Substitute with homemade dough if preferred.
Pumpkin Mixture
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree Use canned or homemade pumpkin puree.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to use other types of cheese.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Toppings
  • as desired Colorful toppings (like bell peppers, olives, and pepperoni cut in spooky shapes) Get creative with designs!
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For brushing on the crust.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Stretch your pre-made pizza dough onto a lightly greased pizza stone or baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the dough, leaving about half an inch around the edges for the crust.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese generously on top of the pumpkin base.
  5. Use your colorful veggies and toppings to create spooky faces or designs on the cheese.
Cooking
  1. Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the crust for a golden finish and bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden.
  2. Once baked, allow it to cool for a few minutes, slice it up, and serve your Halloween Pumpkin Pizza while it’s warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. For longer storage, freeze wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and foil for up to 3 months.
