Ingredients

For the buffalo chicken dip
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken Use Halal-certified chicken.
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
For the mummy topping
  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • Olive oil or cooking spray For brushing the mummy.
  • Black olives for eyes Use sliced olives.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it ready for baking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  3. On a lightly greased baking sheet, unroll the crescent roll dough tubes. Pinch the seams together to form a single sheet.
  4. In the center of the rolled-out dough, spread an even layer of your buffalo chicken mixture.
  5. Carefully fold the dough over the mixture, crisscrossing the strips to create a 'mummy look.'
  6. Brush the mummy with olive oil or cooking spray to achieve a golden crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Once it’s out of the oven, use the black olives as eyes to bring your mummy to life!
  8. Serve warm with pita chips, celery sticks, or tortilla chips.

Notes

Feel free to swap shredded chicken for shredded turkey or even tofu for a vegetarian option. Be cautious of overmixing the chicken mixture; you want to keep some texture.
